Safety Camp at BCH Teaches Area Kids

Among a large group of participants for this year’s Safety Camp for Kids at Belmont Community Health Center in Bellaire were: front, Eliana Mason; second row, from left, Coordinator Sheri Harvey, Jensen Rine and Avery Arno; back, Sgt. Sponsored by Belmont Community Hospital, a division of Wheeling Hospital, the annual two-week camp provides a fun way for children to learn safety education topics as street and road safety; seat belts; safety with bikes, roller blades, skateboards and scooters; stranger and animal safety; parked cars and school bus safety; fire safety; poison and home safety; and playground safety. The children also receive safety tips from various fire and police departments.
