Bridge Street Leo Club Helps Wheeling Hospital Cancer Patients

Among the Bridge Street Middle School students who helped raise $105 for patients at Wheeling Hospital’s Schiffler Cancer Center are, from left, Rebecca Smith, Shelby Opic, Kasey Barnett and Mia Hammons. Led by the schools Leo Club, the sixth, seventh and eighth grade students paid $1 each to wear their favorite hat during the school day. All proceeds are going to the Patient Support Fund, which purchases gas cards, gift cards and wigs for cancer patients in need. Assisting the students were teachers and Leo Club advisers Erica Alexander and Karen Moffa.
