Visitor Information - Directions

From Pittsburgh, PA

  • Take I-79 South from Pittsburgh.
  • Follow I-79 South to Washington, PA.
  • Exit I-79 onto I-70 West (to Wheeling, WV).
  • After 26 miles, you will be in the Wheeling city limits, stay on 70 West (do not take I-470 West).
  • Get off at the Washington Avenue Exit 2B. Be careful, it is a very short exit ramp.
  • Turn left onto Washington Avenue and then turn left and go over the I-70 overpass.
  • Once across the overpass, make a left onto Mount de Chantal Road
  • Drive approximately 1 mile and you will arrive at Wheeling Hospital.

From Morgantown, WV

  • Get on I-79 North toward Washington, PA.
  • Take 70 West to Wheeling, WV.
  • After approximately 26 miles, you will be in the Wheeling city limits. Stay on 70 West (do not take I-470 West).

From Columbus, OH

  • Take 270 South Bypass around Columbus.
  • Get on 70 East to Wheeling, WV. It will take approximately 2 hours to get to Wheeling.
  • Once in the Wheeling city limits, go through the Wheeling Tunnels.
  • About 1 mile later, exit at the Washington Avenue Exit 2B.
  • At the top of the ramp, there is a stop light. Turn right and then immediately left onto Mount de Chantal Road.
  • Drive approximately 1 mile and you will arrive at Wheeling Hospital.

Visitors

The cafeteria at Wheeling Hospital is open to the public, and always features a variety of hot and cold entrees. Located on the lower level, the cafeteria is open Monday - Friday, 6:30am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday from 6:30am to 2pm and 4pm to 7pm. A vending area is also available for visitors in the main lobby.
