CRNA — a unit consisting of 13 surgical suites, including two open heart rooms and one cystoscopy room. We also have an Endoscopy Lab which houses four suites. Our staff consists of physicians, CRNAs, RNs, surgical technologists and support personnel. This unit performs surgeries in multiple disciplines, including cardiac, vascular, orthopedics, general, neurosurgery, gynecology, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, pulmonology and laser. We provide service to all ages.
Cardiac Cath Lab — it's all new with the most advanced technology. Working alongside the some of the best cardiac specialists in the nation, we're an Certified Heart Attack Receiving Center, Certified Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation and an AHA Mission Lifeline: Gold Plus STEMI Award recipient. In addition to diagnostic caths and interventional cardiology, our Cath Lab also performs TAVR, Transcaval TAVR, WATCHMAN implantation and a wide variety of Electrophysiology studies and procedures. We're backed by an open-heart program and we're known as the region's "heart hospital."
5th Floor — a 35-bed inpatient Medical/Surgical unit providing direct patient care to ages ranging from young adult to geriatrics. These patients have been diagnosed with GI disorders, pulmonary disorders or low-risk cardiac disorders, among others. Some patients are on telemetry, however, no vasoactive IV drips are administered on this unit. We receive admissions from the ER, outside facilities, physician offices and ICU. Patient-centered nursing model is used on this unit.
4th Floor — a 52-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit providing direct patient care to ages ranging from young adults to geriatrics. These are orthopedics, neurology/neurosurgery, general surgery and dialysis patients.
Oncology — a 24-bed inpatient unit providing direct patient care for ages ranging from young adults to geriatrics. These patients are those with a cancer diagnosis who may be receiving a combination of treatments such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy or palliative system control.
Pediatrics — a 22-bed inpatient Pediatric and Special Procedure unit providing direct patient care to ages ranging from infancy to 18 years of age. These are medical and surgical pediatrics patients. The well-being and education of the patient and the pediatric family are the focus. Additional services provided include special procedures for outpatients who may need IV antibiotics, blood administration, chemotherapy, central venous catheter care and dressing changes.
IMU (Intermediate Care Unit) — a 28-bed inpatient acute care cardiac unit providing direct patient care to ages ranging from young adults to geriatrics. Patients in this department have chest pain, congestive heart failure and other cardiac conditions, or are pre/post-heart catheterization, pre-coronary artery bypass graft as well as other types of cardiac issues requiring closer observation, telemetry or various vasoactive IV drips. Patients transferring out of critical care units often come to IMU.
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) — a 22-bed inpatient critical care unit providing direct patient care to ages ranging from infancy to geriatrics. These are trauma, neurosurgery, MIs, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, coronary artery bypass graft and complicated surgical patients requiring close observation utilizing high tech monitoring equipment.
CVSD (Cardiovascular Step-Down) — a 12-bed inpatient step down unit providing direct patient care to ages ranges from young adults to geriatrics. These are post-cardiac and vascular surgery patients. Additional patients may include other heart-related conditions requiring close observation and monitoring.
Women's Services — a 29-bed inpatient unit providing direct patient care to ages ranging from infancy to geriatrics. These are mother-baby, gynecological and plastic surgical patients.
Emergency Trauma Services — a 34-bed Level II Trauma Center (the region's only Level II) providing direct patient care to ages ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Patients in this department include those with minor bumps and bruises to major traumas. Our new Emergency-Trauma Center was opened in 2012 and provides state-of-the-art technology to care for and monitor patients.
Surgical Center — unit consisting of 13 operating suites, including 2 open heart rooms, 1 cystoscopy room and Robotic Surgery. It has an Endoscopy Lab which houses 4 suites. Our staff consists of physicians, RNs, surgical technologists and support staff. This unit performs surgeries in multiple disciplines, including cardiac, vascular, orthopedics, general, neurosurgery, gynecology, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, pulmonology and laser. We provide services to all ages.
