September 15, 2017
CADIZ – Harrison Community Hospital (HCH) assisted a local disaster relief effort by donating 500 gallons of drinking water for Hurricane Irma victims in Florida.
The gallon containers were taken to Piergallini & Sons Equipment near Cadiz. The company provided one of its tractor trailers to be loaded with hurricane relief items donated by residents and businesses throughout and near Harrison County. The truck departed for Florida at 3 a.m. Friday.
The Piergallini family spearheaded the local assistance effort.
“Harrison Community Hospital has a long tradition of helping others in need. We are pleased to be able to do what we can to help ease the lives of those affected by the hurricane,” said John DeBlasis, HCH vice president.
“HCH also is proud to assist the Piergallini family in fulfilling their ambition to help those affected by the hurricane. Good things are contagious and this is a great example of the community stepping-up.”
HCH is a division of Wheeling Hospital.
