Hospital Hosts Seminar on Workplace Violence

Nearly 100 attendees at Wheeling Hospital’s annual Workplace Violence Seminar recently heard from many experts, including Bethany Hayes. She is an investigator for the Muskingum County (Ohio) Prosecutor’s Office and an authority on preparing for and responding to workplace violence involving firearms. The day-long seminar was attended by area school resource officers and administrators, law enforcement, safety managers, health care providers, government staff, risk management personnel and others involved in dealing with possible workplace violence. The seminar was sponsored by the hospital’s Richard and Sharon Dlesk Emergency/Trauma Center and The McKeen Group.
