More Family Physicians Join Wheeling Hospital Staff

WHEELING – Two more board-certified family physicians have joined the staff of Wheeling Hospital.

Dr. Joseph Bannon is seeing patients at affiliates Harrison Community Hospital (HCH), Belmont Community Hospital (BCH) and St. Clairsville Health Center.

Bannon, a native of St. Clairsville, earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and performed his residency at Wheeling Hospital. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Dr. David Paxton has joined the Family Medicine staff at Wheeling Hospital and will begin seeing patients on Sept. 10.

Paxton earned his biology pre-professional bachelor’s degree from Concord University. He received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Charleston Area Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Paxton is accepting patients at both the East Cove Family Medicine offices (304-242-0770) and Oakwood Clinic (304-242-3550). East Cove Family Medicine is located at 7 E. Cove Ave., and Oakwood Clinic is at 616 Fairmont Pike.
