Wheeling Hospital Honors Volunteers

At the recent Volunteer Recognition Dinner held at Wheeling Hospital, several special awards were presented. From left are volunteer Peggy Dailer, who received the Thanks For Making Us Shine Award; volunteer Matt Rahbar, named the Anna Mae Parish Award winner; volunteer Sister Mary DiDomenico, who won the Kenneth Pickering Humanitarian Award; volunteer Debbie Ruffner, winner of the Rookie of the Year Award; Debbie Romaine, who recently stepped down as director of Volunteer/Guest Services; and Sheri Harvey, the new director. Wheeling Hospital has a total of 177 volunteers – including adults, college students and juniors – who in 2018 donated more than 41,000 hours to help patients, visitors and staff.
