HCH Workshop to Address Speech, Swallowing Disorders

CADIZ – “Speech and Swallowing Disorders” associated with Parkinson’s Disease is the topic for the next Lunch and Learn Workshop at Harrison Community Hospital (HCH) on July 11.
Amy Beaver, speech/language pathologist at HCH and Wheeling Hospital will discuss potential speech and swallowing problems that are commonly seen in individuals with Parkinson’s.
Scheduled for noon-1 p.m., the free talk will be held in the cafeteria.
Lunch and Learn Workshops are normally held on the first Thursday of every month except December. However, due to July 4 falling on the first Thursday, July’s workshop has been moved to the following Thursday.
The workshops are free to the public. Attendees may bring their own lunch or can purchase a meal in the cafeteria. A snack and beverages will be provided. Reservations are not needed.
HCH is a Ddivision of Wheeling Hospital.
