Wheeling Hospital Hosting ‘Heart and Soul’
January 27, 2020
WHEELING, W.Va. – “Heart and Soul,” an evening celebrating women surviving heart disease or vascular disease, will be held at Wheeling Hospital on Feb. 27.
The fourth annual event, sponsored by all of the hospital’s cardiac services departments and the Community Education and Outreach Department, will begin at 6 p.m. in the hospital auditorium.
Invited are women who are living with or have survived heart disease, heart valve disease or vascular disease. Each attendee may bring one guest to the free event.
“Our goal is to make this an evening of education, fun and fellowship,” said Susie Fullerton, coordinator of the Chest Pain Center. “It gives our women patients a chance to meet some of their caregivers in a different setting.”
Dr. John Wurtzbacher, a Wheeling Hospital cardiologist, will be the guest speaker.
“Heart and Soul” will include a light meal, basket raffle and door prizes. Proceeds from the basket raffle will benefit the Cardiac Resource Fund, which assists participants in Wheeling Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
Due to limited seating, reservations are required and are due by Feb. 21. RSVP by calling 304-243-3339.
