Wheeling Hospital

Wheeling Hospital, established in 1850, was the first hospital in the region in operation between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, and one of the first hospitals in West Virginia.

The Wheeling Hospital family is comprised of The Howard Long Wellness Center, the Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center, the Wheeling Clinic and Visiting Nurse Services, all located in Wheeling; Belmont Community Hospital, Belmont Community Center, the Bridgeport Health Center, the Colerain Health Center, the Shadyside Health Center, the St. Clairsville Health Center, the Powhatan Point Health Center, all in Central Eastern Ohio; and the Wellsburg Clinic in Brooke County, WV.
